Kurt Govertsen is Associate Director of Litigation Support at Bartlit Beck LLP, focused on eDiscovery. Kurt has nearly 25 years of litigation experience, split evenly between eDiscovery roles at law firms, and practice leadership positions at both a publicly traded, global consulting firm as well as a startup trial consulting business. At Bartlit Beck, Kurt is responsible for all aspects of the firm’s litigation support technology and eDiscovery functions and advises firm attorneys and clients on technical issues relating to eDiscovery in complex commercial litigation. In addition to his eDiscovery work, Kurt has also spent a significant time on the road, having supported over 50 trial teams in venues across the country.

Prior to joining Bartlit Beck in 2016, Kurt spent six years as a co-owner, partner, and the Chief Operating Manager of Core Legal Concepts, a national trial graphics, courtroom presentation, and logistics firm. Prior to co-founding Core, Kurt was a Senior Managing Director at FTI Consulting where he served as the leader of the national trial technology practice for seven years. Before FTI, Kurt was the Practice Support Manager at McAndrews, Held & Malloy, Ltd., an IP firm in Chicago, responsible for the litigation support, docketing, eDiscovery, and trial support departments.
